Greetings from the trail!
The Deep Root Kennel continues to spend time each fall and winter putting on lots of miles for the coming racing season. As the team has accomplished so much in the last 5 years, including finishing the 2020 Iditarod, they continue to reach for new goals.
They continue to bring this experience to others that are interested in learning. The team continues to inspire others to reach their fullest potential, educate and empower them with the skills to do so, and encourage others to experience their dreams, aspirations, and purpose. The team takes all their volunteers, trainers, sponsors, handlers, youth, community organizations, and Deep Root Cause participants on this journey. The people and relationships are the mission, and the team is the means and tool.
The Deep Root Cause is our 501(c) nonprofit that brings this experience, information, and adventure to many youth organizations, community groups, schools, businesses, and participants through demonstrations, presentations, workshops, rides, and kennel visits. Dog mushing stories, information, and adventures are interwoven with the life strategies and skills that have allowed the team to pursue this dream.

It costs over $30 a month to feed just one dog. Check out our team and who still needs sponsorship. There are lead dogs ($500), team dogs ($250) and retired dogs ($100) to sponsor.
